Ajoutez Deux Lettres À Paris : C’est Le Paradis.
– Jules Renard
Hey, everyone. It’s been a while. (I was very inclined to begin this blog post with with Hey, Did you miss me? XOXO Gossip Girl :D)
It definitely has been a while since I last wrote. I am ashamed to even look back at the date of my last post , but anyway, let bygones be bygones! I am back now..with BIG news! Yes, I’ve moved to Paris, France – the city of fashion, romance, museums, croissants (LOTS of bread), wine, cheese, and the list goes on… Also, wanted to be a bit cliche so enjoy listening to Ashley Park’s Mon Soleil from Emily to Paris in the background. <3 😉
Am I excited? Of course! Who wouldn’t be? But I am taking it one day at a time and trying not to make this big transition overwhelming for me.
To answer a few questions that you have about how and why the move to Paris?
How : Pratik got his dream job in Paris , and as fate would have it, my own storyline is taking a romantic turn towards the City of Light as my company is also graciously supporting me with the move here.
Why : We had been shuffling with the idea of moving to Europe for quite a few months (if not a year). We’ve stayed and worked in the US and India and we thought..why not Europe. To be honest, Paris wasn’t on our list, Amsterdam was, but Paris just happened!
Instead of writing a super long post, I thought I would keep this one as a quick update before I get back to writing again. I do want to write about my latest trip to Japan (which would be my next post) before I get back to talking about my travel experience for the first time in a business class to Paris, Packing and Planning before the move, Living as an expat etc.
Here are some clips of our first week in Paris in the meanwhile!
